If you're new to Medicare, the choices can be confusing. What you get from the government is relatively simple: you get Part A, hospital insurance and Part B, medical insurance. If you want more than Original Medicare, it's not so easy. What do you need? Which plan should you pick?

For most folks you get it automatically when you sign up for Medicare and it cost you nothing.
Covers Hospital Deductible
Skilled Nursing Facility (Medicare Approved) after 3 days as in hospital patient and within 30 days after hospital discharge
Part B is when you go to the Doctor and you have to buy it.
Medicare will pay
80% of all Medicare approved charges after the required Deductible
Combines both A & B and you have to buy it. It's called a Medicare Advantage. It could include extra benefits like Dental & Vision.
Most plans will include
· Medicare Prescription Drug Plans , and it's called a MAPD.
